There are some really fantastic theater and performing arts organizations in Philadelphia, and we think you should know about some of them if you don’t already!

We want to take a moment to recognize these other awesome Theater Companies and Organizations who have been fantastic friends to us.

We want to thank them for being so cool and often offering us  guidance, and sometimes even the occasional lending of Props and Costumes.

We love these guys and you should too, and we recommend you check out their stuff anytime you can! You will be glad you did!

IMG_6609We could not be more excited about our next short film Eleventeen written and directed by our Youth Company Member Jared Taylor (pictured here being a Production Assistant for last years film shoot of High Stakes Written by Brian Weiser).

Based on his poem of the same name, Jared’s short film humorously explores the fate of a world where a number like Eleventeen is allowed to exist. Principal photography starts Monday June 22nd and shoots on various dates and locations like the Allen Lane Train Station, The Mt. Airy Read and Eat, and The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown. We will also shoot an entire scene on a green screen! (This is a CCP Films first). Filming wraps up on July 9th.

Eleventeen stars Company Member Brian Weiser in multiple roles, as well as appearances by company members Jim Broyles, Eric Gershenow, Adrienne Cascarella, Samantha Simpson and Stephanie C Kernisan. Youth Company Members Halin Hegamyer-Gershenow, Lia Taylor, and Steven Lepore will also be featured in the film as well as many CCP newcomers!

We plan to screen this film in the Fall at the Read and Eat’s little theater!

Stay tuned for more details and pics from the set!

Every Woman starts as a young confused teenager, and sometimes those girls keep diaries, so that when they are older they can be totally embarrassed by what they wrote. This is our first installment of this series of Podcasts where old diaries are dramatically read aloud.

The Lily Diary is from 1988 and is read by Stephanie C Kernisan. *This Podcast contains adult language*

This Podcast us part of the Mortified Nation Movement. It is intended to be an artistic representation of the author at a young and naive time in her life, so that other women who experienced the same things in their lives at this age can see that you can survive adolescence and grow up to be a normal well adjusted human being.
